my price chopper IGive.com Donations and Supplies Needed We ask for your donations to assist us in our continuing efforts to rescue these sweet creatures in need. The need for rescue of this special breed has risen, and the cost of running a sanctuary, even with an all-volunteer staff and a group of foster homes, is high. The adoption fees we receive go directly to the veterinarians who help us in our mission. Many times, these fees do not cover all of the veterinary costs. The rest of the operational needs – food, litter, cleaning supplies, utility bills (i.e. for heating and cooling), cages, crates and other costs - are funded by private donations. Without these private donations, we would be unable to continue our humane effort. Once a cat comes to our rescue group, it has a place with us until a forever home is found. Only if a cat is too sick, or suffering, is it euthanized. A cat’s stay at our shelter, or in one of our foster homes, can range from a week to many months. As you can imagine, the cost to keep just one cat, feed and provide medical care, is rarely covered by the adoption fee. Here are a few items that we need….either the funds to purchase them or items that you purchase for us:   Several electric blankets to use to put around the outside of cages in the very cold days of winter   Power Washer ~ industrial type for cleaning cages   Adopt-A-Pet Sign ~ to attract adopters to attend our Mobile Adoptions   HEPA Air Filtering Systems ~ for the orphanage and our main foster homes   Cleaning supplies such as bleach, laundry soap with enzymes, dish soap, paper towels, spray cleaners with bleach, etc.   Old Towels, old blankets, old sheets, old throw rugs, old toilet seat covers, old receiving blankets…anything that can be used in cages, kennels, beds, or to clean with….our meezers love anything wool in the winter time!!   Office Supplies such as copy paper, ink pens, #10 envelopes, premium paper, file folders, etc.   Cat Food ~ any kind of canned food for the ones that come to us sick and premium dry food, such as Science Diet, Nutro Max, IAMS, Eukanuba, etc.   Scoopable Kitty Litter, along with litter pans and Arm & Hammer Litterbox Deodorizer   Cat treats, cat toys, collars, leashes, harnesses   Cat Beds and Cat Carriers   Cages for Mobile Adoptions, any size   Printing for business cards, flyers, brochures, envelopes. If you know someone with a printing business who would like to help a good cause, this would help with our expenses tremendously!   Shirts ~ long-sleeved and short-sleeved t-shirts, sweatshirts, jackets. Must be new items for screen printing or embroidering KCSR logos on them We ask for your gift to help us continue our work and continue to give the gift of life and a forever home to more cats.
