Remembering Mia

After much discussion with Rogena and Cathy, they helped us decide that what we really were missing in our family was an oriental shorthair…..and Rogena had just the perfect one for us to adopt! We met Mia (or “My Mia Mia” as Rogena called her) in June of 2003 and instantly fell in love. We brought her home and she fit right in with our other dogs and cat. Mia loved to talk to you and would carry on complete conversations! She was such a sweetheart and was very social and loved to snuggle in whomever’s lap was available. Mia slept between us every night, burrowed in under the covers. We never were sure how old Mia really was, but we estimated that she was around 6 or 7 when we adopted her. Sadly, a few months ago, Mia developed pancreas disease. We tried many different things, but were unable to turn things around for her. We lost our precious Mia in May, just three years after she became part of our family. We miss her sweet face and loving personality. Rest in peace, Mia, until we all see each other again.
