Ashley Update

Photo of AshleyAshley gave me my New Year's present early last night. I woke up early this morning about 3 a.m. and felt two kitties at the bottom of the bed, one snuggled against my leg and the other to my right. As I usally do, I check to be careful getting out of bed so as not to disturb them. One was Cayenne; the other snuggled against me ON TOP of the covers was Ashley. I reached over to pat her and she purred but did not bolt. Later when I did come back to bed she did bolt, only to run up and down our bedroom chasing imaginary mice with kittenish energy, until Cayenne joined her and chased her downstairs.

Ashley has given me other wonders, like before Christmas when I was baking in the kitchen. My begger-kitty Rosie was checking out my cooking to make sure she got her fair share. When I let her sniff it so I could prove to her she did not want it, there were two heads there instead of one - both with dark Siamese points.

We have a bit of a love triangle going with Cayenne adoring Ashley, who is in awe of Rosie and will follow her around, literally, or with her eyes. If Rosie is playing with the laser pointer, Ashley is right in there with her.

Happy Hogmanay (New Years!), as we say at home in Nova Scotia

Sarah
(Ashley's mom)
