Girlfriend Update

GirlfriendI just wanted you to know that Girlfriend has brought a lot more joy and love into my and my little Tabby's (PV) life this past week than either one of us could imagine. It also brought a little "stress." You see, Girlfriend has been suffering from a cold virus specific to cats. I have been keeping her under the Pleasant Hill Animal Clinic's capable vet's care, and the prognosis is excellent for her. She is a little fighter, that one! I just LOVE her! She likes to sleep right at my side, while my other cat, PV, always likes to sleep at my feet. You might say that I have to sleep in one position all night, so I don't disturbe my "babies." PV has diabetes, and I didn't know how he would react to Girlfriend, but I just HAD to give it a try. She is SO loving, and she deserves a good home. I am giving her injections of anitbiotics (needles of antibiotics made up by the vet), and she is finally responding to them. She has a lot of courage, this one. She also has such a sweet spirit for a Siamese/Himalayan mix. Not a mean bone in her little body! And she is SO DAINTY when she eats! PV just LOVES her, now that he's gotten used to her company. I don't think he can imagine a day without his little "Girlfriend."

Thank you for being at PETCO last Saturday! Girlfriend is JUST what PV and I needed in our lives. It is no coincidence that my "radar" zoned in on her first. I looked at others, including kittens, but my heart had already been captured by Girlfriend. I will send pictures of her soon, and I will be happy to let you know when she makes a FULL recovery. I intend for her to get well, NO MATTER WHAT IT TAKES! This precious, little one has my COMPLETE dedication and love. Stay tuned for the good news, because it WILL be good!
