Coco ![]() CoCo has left us.....for the Rainbow Bridge. She was with me for seven weeks and was in kidney failure when we got her. With everyone's help I pulled her through that and she had actually put on weight and was feeling pretty sassy until about a week ago when she began to go downhill. She was 17 years old and that's something I couldn't fix or help her with. She lost all interest in food and drink, but still went to her litter pan, although she was so weak yesterday that she could not get in and out without stumbling. Also yesterday she was a little more restless, and I feared that perhaps she was having some pain. So I held her most of the night while she slept and left her resting comfortably in her bed this morning. When John came home late morning today, he took her to Dr. Lyle and held her while they released her from her pain. She is now buried in my yard, right along side all my other babies. My hope for her is that her lifelong owner lingered at the Bridge, playing with all the others that are there, knowing that she wouldn't be long behind him, and is waiting there for her. She was such a sweet, unassuming old gal....and she knew we all loved her. Debby |
