TOGETHER WE WILL BE AGAIN...... I live this side of Heaven Where past pets run and play. We are whole and healthy now And this is how we'll stay. The sky is blue, the sun is bright, It's not too hot or cold. And at night we're rocked to sleep By moonbeams made of gold. There is never any fighting, No aggression and no fear, For here we live in safety, With love, and warmth, it's clear. My given name is Skeeters, A Seal Point boy I be. I am waiting for my human To come and cross with me. I was never loved completely Before she came along, But in our time together She righted every wrong. She loved me first, She loved me best, Of that I'm purrrfectly sure. She cuddled and she kissed, For me she was the cure. When it was time for me to go, She never left my side. She just said "I Love You," While she held my head and cried. And to this day she wonders If she made the right decision When she set my soul to rest With my illness as her reason. Her name is My Diana, And I need for her to know, To set me free meant everything, The act of mercy she did show. Now don't you worry 'bout me, Mom, As I have lots of friends. Some from Siamese Rescue, Some from far beyond. But just this side of Heaven, At the entrance where I live, Together we will be again To cross the Rainbow Bridge.
